1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using IdeaIndex ("the Service"), operated at ideaindex.so, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and IdeaIndex ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

IdeaIndex is a subscription-based platform that provides entrepreneurs with access to a curated database of validated startup ideas, trend insights, startup case studies, marketing playbooks, and an AI-powered idea generator. Access to these features requires an active paid subscription.

3. Account Registration

• You must sign in using Google OAuth to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account.
• You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and onboarding.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use IdeaIndex.
• Each account is for a single individual. Sharing login credentials or account access is prohibited.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

4.1 Subscription Plans

IdeaIndex offers Monthly ($32/month) and Yearly ($14/month, billed at $168/year) subscription plans. Both plans provide full access to all features. Specific usage limits apply to the AI Idea Generator based on your plan.

4.2 Billing

All payments are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the interval corresponding to your selected plan. Subscription fees are charged in advance at the beginning of each billing cycle.

4.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Billing page in your account. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to IdeaIndex until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a billing cycle, except as described in our Refund Policy.

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following notice of the change. Continued use of the Service after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reproduce, redistribute, scrape, or resell any content from IdeaIndex (including ideas, case studies, trend data, and marketing playbooks) without our prior written consent
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or extract data from the platform
• Share your account credentials or allow others to access your account
• Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements, usage limits, or access controls
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

All content on IdeaIndex — including but not limited to startup ideas, trend analyses, case studies, marketing playbooks, data, text, graphics, and software — is the property of IdeaIndex or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express permission.

6.2 AI-Generated Content

Ideas generated by the AI Idea Generator are provided for your personal use. While you may use AI-generated ideas to inspire or plan your own ventures, we make no claims of exclusivity — the same or similar ideas may be generated for other users. We do not guarantee the originality, viability, or profitability of any AI-generated idea.

6.3 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you create or input into IdeaIndex (e.g., favorites lists, AI generator prompts). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your inputs for the purpose of providing the Service.

7. Disclaimers

• No Business Advice: IdeaIndex provides informational content for educational and research purposes. Nothing on the platform constitutes professional business, financial, legal, or investment advice.
• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data, market sizes, revenue figures, or trend projections. All such information is provided on an "as-is" basis.
• No Success Guarantee: Using IdeaIndex does not guarantee business success, revenue, or any specific outcome. Entrepreneurship involves inherent risk.
• Third-Party Data: Case study data, revenue numbers, and company information are gathered from publicly available sources and may not reflect current conditions.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, IdeaIndex and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or any decisions made based on content provided through the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to IdeaIndex in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
